Our standard

This website is built to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We test against that standard as part of our development process rather than as an afterthought.

What that means in practice

Every interactive element — navigation, the services menu, portfolio and journal filters, the FAQ accordion, the before-and-after comparison slider and the quote form — can be operated with a keyboard alone, and shows a clearly visible focus indicator.

Pages use correct landmarks and a single, logical heading hierarchy, so screen reader users can navigate by structure. Photography carries descriptive alternative text, and images that are purely decorative are hidden from assistive technology rather than announced as noise.

Text and interface colours meet or exceed the required contrast ratios, and text can be resized to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

All animation on the site — scroll reveals, counters, the hero parallax and page transitions — is disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion.

Known limitations

The before-and-after comparison is inherently visual. It is fully keyboard-operable and announces its position as a percentage, but the transformation it shows cannot be conveyed without sight. The surrounding copy and statistics describe the outcome in text.

Some case study photography carries brief alternative text where a full description would be impractical. If you would like a detailed description of any project, we will happily provide one.
